  • Intensity: 30 knots (55 km/h)

Trend:

  • Some strengthening is forecast during the next 24 hours, and the depression will likely become a tropical storm by tonight.

Watches and warnings:

  • There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Hazards affecting land:

  • The depression is likely to produce heavy rain and damaging winds across portions of northern Luzon beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through Saturday morning.
