Discussion:

Satellite imagery and scatterometer data indicate that the already weak circulation 97W/TD Salome has degenerated into a trough just northwest of mainland Luzon. There is little to no convection associated with this feature, and its wind field is indiscernible from the northeasterly cold surge flow nearby. Environmental conditions are expected to remain highly unfavorable, so regeneration is not expected.

This is the last advisory on 97W/TD Salome.
