Discussion:

Lingling has a very well defined circulation that has moved back out over water south of Shikoku. Unfortunately for it, that’s all it has. A dramatic increase in northeasterly shear has blown apart Lingling’s convective structure, and the system has not generated any significant convection near its center for nearly 12 hours. Despite being over relatively warm waters, the shear is forecast to get even stronger as Lingling moves slowly northeastward, and convection is unlikely to return. Therefore, Lingling is now a post-tropical remnant low, and this is the last advisory. The low will likely open up into a trough later today.

This is the last advisory on Lingling.
