Atlantic: Invest 90L
First invest area of the 2025 hurricane season, but not likely to become much of anything

Invest area 90L has been designated for a fairly well organized area of low pressure way out in the subtropical central Atlantic. This system seems to have a fairly well defined circulation, and its associated showers and thunderstorms have pretty decent structure despite being displaced mainly to the east of the center. Scatterometer data suggests the low is only producing light winds, though, and it won’t be in a favorable environment for much longer as there’s a cold front impinging upon it. Because of this, 90L has a low potential for tropical cyclone development, and it isn’t a threat to any land areas.
